Meet Julia
I grew up in a family where academic achievement was non-negotiable. That upbringing shaped me, and stayed with me through an HBA with distinction from Western University's Ivey School of Business, a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University, a semester at Bocconi in Italy, and eventually across several countries where I lived, worked, and picked up seven languages along the way, though not all of them equally well.
Education is a family business, and it made sense to join it after graduating from Fletcher. What I did not expect is how much I would love working with students. I spent twenty years working in international university admissions, recruiting for European schools in the fields of medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and veterinary science. I advised students and families on fit, application strategy, and program selection. When I transitioned my focus to North American undergraduate admissions, my work philosophy of meeting students where they are and helping them reach academic success did not change. What that looks like, however, is never the same twice.
I make sure we are looking in the right places from the start so that when the process is over, your student is somewhere that actually makes sense for them.
My job is to find out what academic success means to you, and help you get there.
I am a member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA), a soon-to-be graduate of UC Irvine's Independent Educational Consulting certificate program. I am a certified essay coach, a trained mock interviewer, and a volunteer college coach with a nonprofit organization supporting underserved first-generation students.
